Terms of use
Last updated 14 October 2026
These are the rules for using the Bibs app and website, run by Euan Grant, based in Scotland. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written to be read, not to trip you up.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over and give accurate details.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself.
- One person, one account. We may close accounts that are shared, fake, or used to get round a block.
Playing nicely
Bibs is for organising football with people you play with. Don't use it to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, to send spam, or to share anything illegal or that you don't have the right to share. Game admins can remove people from their games, and we can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Games and venues
Bibs helps people organise games; it doesn't run them. Whoever organises a game is responsible for booking the pitch and for what happens at it. Play football at your own risk, and take the same care you would for any game you'd arranged over a group chat. Venues listed on Bibs are independent businesses, and any booking or payment with a venue is between you and them.
The Captain plan
- The Captain plan is a monthly or yearly subscription bought through Apple on an iPhone or Google Play on Android, priced in the app. It covers running the number of weekly games shown on the plan.
- New subscribers on an iPhone can start with a free trial, shown in the app before you subscribe (Apple allows one per Apple ID). When the trial ends the plan is charged and becomes a paid subscription, unless you cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- It renews automatically each month or year until you cancel it: on an iPhone in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date; on Android in the Subscriptions section of Google Play, before the renewal date. The store you bought it from handles the payment and any refund under its own terms.
- If a plan lapses or is refunded, games it covered are frozen until it's renewed. Players can still see them; nobody can join or be added.
The Team plan
- The Team plan is a monthly or yearly subscription for running a team on Bibs: its squad, calendar, team sheets, results, stats and chat. It's bought by the team's owner through Apple on an iPhone or Google Play on Android, priced in the app, and covers the number of teams shown on the plan. Players in a team never pay for it.
- New subscribers on an iPhone can start with a free trial, shown in the app before you subscribe (Apple allows one per Apple ID). When the trial ends the plan is charged and becomes a paid subscription, unless you cancel it in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- It renews automatically each month or year until you cancel it, in the same way as the Captain plan: on an iPhone in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date; on Android in the Subscriptions section of Google Play, before the renewal date. The store you bought it from handles the payment and any refund under its own terms.
- The Team plan and the Captain plan are separate subscriptions. You can have both, and each is cancelled on its own.
- A team in a league run on Bibs may have its plan provided by the league's organiser instead, for as long as the organiser keeps it.
- If a plan lapses or is refunded, or the team's owner deletes their account, the teams it covered are paused until it's renewed. Everyone in a paused team can still see it, but nothing in it changes and its code lets nobody new in.
Venue listings
Venues are set up by us under a separate agreement made by email. That agreement takes priority over these terms for anything it covers.
Your content
You own what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you shared it with, which is what it takes to run a chat. Don't post other people's photos or messages without their say-so.
Ending things
You can delete your account whenever you like from the app or by emailing support@bibs.football. We can end or change the service with reasonable notice, and we'll refund any unused part of a plan we can't honour, through the store you bought it from.
The legal bit
We provide Bibs as it is. We'll do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we're not responsible for losses that come from relying on it, from a game being cancelled, or from anything that happens at a game. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
